Selam Africa: Peace for Ethiopia to Unite Africa

Yesterday we were at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to present our vision: Peace for Ethiopia to Unite Africa. The 5 Civil Society organizations in the field of: Pan-Africanism, Education, Environment, Art and Music led by the Deug 27 Foundation were welcomed by the Minister of the Ethiopia Tourism Department, Dr. Hirut Kassaw. Our proposal is the Selam Africa Project, presented by a collective of 05 social organizations for the production of 100 backpacks and 1000 illustrated notebooks with cultural, educational and artistic contexts. The Notebooks will be designed by groups of visual artists who are members of the Society of Visual Artists of Ethiopia and the Backpacks will be produced by the company brand Deug 27. The production of these backpacks will be carried out by women and young people who have been trained by our Foundation. Then after we went to the Hiltom Hotel to present our proposal for the presentation of our collective Deug 27 brand to one of the hotel's managers. At the Hilton Hotel there was an event with several brands produced during the last 100 years in Ethiopia. Different logos from different organizations in different areas: art, restaurant, cosmetics, etc. were at this event. In the near future we will organize an exhibition of the works resulting from our collaboration.
