Deug in Wolof language means True and March 27 2018 is the day it was revealed that our mission must continue in Ethiopia.
After Cape Verde and Senegal our next destination was Ethiopia. From the year 2018 to 2021 was the time to overderstand the new country and the vision. The full name
DEUG 27 was given from the beginning of the year 2019.
We started with handmade bags and then we bought a machine. Little by little we started to mobilize people to understand this vision on the basis of daily work.
During these 3 years we contacted many people and artists about this vision in Addis Ababa and in Shashamane. The first public performance took place in Shashamane during Her Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I's 88th Coronation conference which lasted a week bringing together people of various people from 1st to 9th November 2018.
The year 2021 was the time to legalize the Foundation and clarify our ideology thinking about the historical roots of this 12-year work.
