Henry Silverter Willian, from Trinidad Tobego, turned the Plantation Situation, was the founder of the
first Pan-African conference 122 years ago, which brought together 32 delegations from various countries of the British colonies in London.
The meetings that followed represented the ideal arenas for expressions of the value of the African man, from revolt to colonialism and the Neocolonialism.
The leaders of these Pan-African movements fought an intellectual and moral struggle that not only culminated in the liberation of all of Africa in a first phase, but also projected human history towards their own awareness of Fundamental Human Rights and Destiny.
The conferences, all over the world where they took place from London to Paris, New York to Bandung in Indonesia, from Cairo to Accra, from Brazaville to Addis Ababa, considered foreign domination as a denial of the Fundamental Humans Rights, contrary to to the letter of the United Nations, a real impediment to the promotion of peace and world cooperation.
All these meetings reaffirmed in a single voice not only for 122 years but for a long time waited: Free and United Africa.
Men and women from many African countries paid the price of their freedom with their own blood throughout this liberation process to prove the value of this conviction.
